What is Freeware?
Freeware is copyrighted software given away for free by the author. Although it is available for free, the author retains the copyright, which means that you cannot do anything with it that is not expressly allowed by the author. Usually, the author allows people to use the software, but not sell it. Don't be fooled, freeware is, in many cases just as good or better than what you can buy!

About the Freeware Listed on this Site
All freeware applications listed within this site must meet the following requirements:

* Must be spyware and adware free.
* Must be a completely free fully operating application, not a partially disabled version such as shareware or a timed demo.
* Must work well. In other words, the application must work as good or better as an application that would be purchased.
 You won't find a better listing of freeware software available that meets these requirements. The software listed here will prove that Freeware can be just as good or better than what you can buy! Why spend money for something you can get for free! Most of the software listed I either use, have used, or I know someone who has. Please select a category from the menu on the left.

WARNING!
Before installing any of the software from the links listed make sure to verify it works with the version of Windows you are using. You can do this by checking the software's website for system requirements. Not all applications listed here will work with every version of Windows.

Skill Level Required
Some applications, such as Graphics applications, need a certain skill level to be able to use the application. To make it easy for you to decide if you want to use the program you may see a skill level indicator. Here is the meaning of the skill level indicator:
