Here are some tips that may help you in your kitchen!

1. When cutting onions, to prevent your eyes from burning and watering place the onion in a bowl of water. Cut the onion while it is under water.

2. You cut some onions and now your hands smell like onions. This is fine if you like the smell of onions, but if you don't and you want a simple, cheap way to remove the smell then find a spoon in your drawer that is made of stainless steel (most are). Take the spoon and under cold running water rub the spoon on your hands. The stainless steel under the cold running water will remove the onion smell!

3. Always clean as you go. While cooking, when an item becomes dirty and you are done using it then rinse it out and place it in your dishwasher. Keep your cooking area wiped down and clean. This will prevent germs and will be easier when the cooking is done!

4. Never lick your fingers while cooking. This is a bad habit that some people never outgrow. This spreads germs. Make sure to teach your children proper germ prevention.

5. When cooking, make sure to keep the tools you use when prepairing the meal before the meat is cooked separate from the tools used after the meat is cooked. The germs that were killed from the cooking process can infect the food if you use tongs (as an example) on the cooked meat that were used before the meat was cooked.

6. When having guests over, first check to see if your guests are allergic to anything or have special requirements (such as no sugar) before you prepare the meal. Some people are so highly allergic that death can occur, and that would put a downer on the evening.

7. Cooking steak on your outdoor grill? Excellent, but don't forget the baked Potatoes. You can quickly bake potatoes in your microwave oven (make sure to poke holes in the potato before cooking or it will explode in the microwave). After the potatoes are cooked, wrap them in aluminum foil and place them on the top rack of your grill. Everyone will think you grilled them! This will keep the potatoes hot while the meat is still cooking.
